I just love this picture, it is so sweet. It is so my Dad. I have a feeling I was sucking my thumb and he came down on the floor to get a taste too? Was I tired? or throwing a fit? I'm not sure, but it just really shows what a great hands on father he is. Dad went out of town often, but when he was home he was always there for us. He was/is so supportive, so selfless, will literally give you the shirt off his back and always loves unconditionally. Dad always knew the answer to any question I had and never once made me feel like it was a dumb question. He made us feel safe and protected and could fix anything.
He was the "Wind Beneath My Wings" as a child which is why I chose that song for us to dance to at my wedding..."Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?

I hope that someday I can grow to be as selfless and loving as you. Thank you for being such a great example. Happy Father's Day Dad! and Happy 60th Birthday! Thank you for being the wind beneath my wings. They say a girl will find a man most like her father so its no wonder I have found so many of your wonderful traits in Jeremy, plus some!
