A 1920's bungalow that needed a lot of cosmetic fixes on the inside and some on the out. I think I will do a separate post of the inside before and after shots.Almost five years later here we are. In a beautiful house with three beautiful children who love their home and have plenty of room to roam. To be honest there are days when I wish I lived in a new house that doesn't have chipping paint, squeaky floors, drafty windows (when the wind blows, so do the curtains) A home that has a pantry, a laundry room and a master bathroom. But I don't "need" those things. I am just so thankful that we have a home. A home with lots of character, memories and the pride my husband takes in the beautiful work he has done to it.
The seasons here can be so pretty, especially at your house. We really have a distinct fall, winter, spring and summer which is great. The fall leaves are so pretty. We have many large leafy trees around our house which is great in the summer and early fall, but when the leaves start falling...oh man are there a lot to rake up and get rid of! Our trees change color and fall in stages so we seem to be raking leaves for about a month. Then we are left with lifeless sticks which are kind of depressing. I get really excited at the first sign of new buds come spring.
Here are the beautiful seasons at our home:
~Summer~Here is another before and after shot. Jeremy took the big bush out in front and built me a wonderful white picket fence. I just love the symmetry of a bungalow.
