Rockin' out with Miley

I'm a little behind on posts, so I'm going to try and catch up this week. You may remember my niece Jessica from THIS post. Jessica will be turning 13 this month and is a big fan of Miley Cyrus/ Hanna Montana. That weekend she stayed with me, the one when we went school clothes shopping and bought a Miley Cyrus outfit from her, I discovered that she was coming to town in concert. After she left I started scheming...if I could get my sisters and my mom to go in on it, I could get two tickets and take her to the concert! Everyone agreed that this would be her birthday present. Her mom (my sister) was nice enough to let me take her, even though she kind of wanted to go herself. Thanks Julie!

The concert was on a Monday, so I waited until she got home from school that day around 3:30pm. 3 1/2 hours before the concerted started, as to not give her any time to get suspicious. I asked her if she could come babysit that night so Jeremy and I could go on a date. She was game, but a little nervous, hoping the baby would be good and not cry for mommy the whole time. When she got to my house I said "oh before I go, I got this Miley Cyrus CD for you because I didn't think you had it yet" She was like "Cool, thanks!".

Then I told her to open it, and this is the message I had put inside:

She was a little confused at first, then was totally surprised, excited and a little relieved she wouldn't be babysitting three kids 5 and under that night! Her night turned out to be a lot more fun then she had anticipated.

I had Julie sneak the Miley outfit in the car so she could change clothes and off we went!

Got to have the t-shirt so she could wear it to school next day!

We were in the lower 200 level, dead center with the stage. They were really good seats I thought.

The perma-grin that lasted all night long.

I made my camera's zooming power work to its full potential and got some great shots of her. This one is my favorite. I LOVE her dress, and the boots with the pink socks!

She flew over the crowd on this motorcycle.

We had a great time. It was a fun concert. There was a young girl next to me who was probably around 8 yrs. old. She was soooo excited. I heard her tell her mom "Pinch me really hard so I know I'm not dreaming!" It was so cute. She was bouncing up and down the whole time. I copied Jessica's CD and have been enjoying it myself at the gym. There is nothing like Miley singing "Party in the USA" to make anymore kick it up a notch on the treadmill!
