On Friday I had the privilege of taking Ashton to see a play with his preschool class. The play was "Giggle Giggle Quack" by the Oregon Children's Theater. We met up with his teacher and some other classmates at the MAX station and took the train ride into downtown Portland. I just love spending one on one time with the boys. Especially Ashton because I don't want him to ever feel lost in the shuffle of life, not being the oldest or the youngest, but right in the the middle. I was the middle child and I never felt left out or neglected or any less important or loved then my other sisters. So whatever it was that my parents did, I hope I can do the same for Ashton.

When we got off the train the other moms wanted a Starbucks fix. I don't drink coffee myself but I got Ashton a hot cocoa. To his delight.
Walking to the theater. On our walk there and back Ashton made a point to walk by his teacher and wanted to hold her hand (even though I was there). I thought it was very cute. When we pulled up to our house after the play he said he wished Teacher Tasha could drive her car to our house so she could play :) Ashton has a soft spot in his heart for the girls in his life. Its very sweet.
My sweet Ashton. So beautiful. Funny. Serious. Loving. Stubborn. Loud. Energetic. Polite. Tough. Independent.
Ashton quotes:
While playing Legos and flying Lego ships around and crashing: "Only JESUS Legos come back to life."
"Dad, I love Mom all the way around the world and back to our house again. That's how much I love her."
