Lets Go On An Adventure!

The boys love to go on "adventures" or as Kevin used to say a "REventure." You might remember THIS adventure we took last March. We have fun taking adventures around the neighborhood, taking in our surroundings and seeing what cool things we can find. Sometimes the boys bring a notebook and pen, a backpack or walkie talkies. This time Kevin brought his 'Kid Tough' digital camera and I brought mine (of course). Here are pictures of some of the interesting things we found around our neighborhood. You might be able to tell that we live in an old neighborhood. Our house was built in 1920 and I think the newest house was built in the 40's.

I love how the clouds made this pointed shape in the sky.

I took this picture for my Mom. Her maiden name is Smith.

Kevin checking out the pictures he has taken so far.

I liked that this birdhouse said "Family"

We made a pit stop at the school playground.

Someone painted this cool map on the playground last summer. Kevin is standing where we live and Ashton is standing where Uncle Brad lives. Too far away!

I played so much hop stoch as a little girl! We always used those big plastic charms from our charm necklace as our marker. Anyone remember those? I wish I still had my necklace. I had a ton of charms on there.

Look at those 'Muma Blues'! (or really Smith blues, since they technically come from my moms side of the family :)

For some reason I see so much of myself in this picture of Ashton. He definitely has more traits from my side of the family.

Isn't that the funkiest owl? Its so ugly that its almost cool.

And now my blog debut of photographs by Kevin Baker!

I loved it all. Wow!!!!!!! Our next budding photographer. Muma Blues, well maybe Smith Blues are more like it, I am thinking. I loved the sky and the mail box holder in wrought iron it looked like a "F" to me. Hugs mom
