This is my first attempt at Not Me Monday. It was created by MckMama over at My Charming Kids. Its a great way to confess the things you have done or said or happened to you this week that you might not otherwise admit. Its a great way to remember that no one is perfect and very therapeutic to read other 'Not Me's' and realize you are not alone! So remember, these are things that actually happened, but I wouldn't admit that! Not Me!
Last Monday I did not have the boys dressed, fed, in their coats, shoes, hats and sitting by the window waiting for their carpool ride...waiting...waiting... I certainly did not think "this is not like her to be so late!" I did not call her to see if she was on her way. After no answer I did not go check my calendar and come to the realization that there was NO SCHOOL on Monday because of the holiday. I definitely did not almost break out in tears when I realized I would not have the ME time I was SO looking forward to. Nope, Not Me!
When reading the new calendar of events for Moms Club, I did not see 'dress-up day' and immediately get excited at the thought of getting to dress up! Of course, not. Dressing up is for kids. The things we plan are for the kids, not the adults. Of course I knew that. I do not like dressing up so much that I actually thought for a moment it was for the moms, Not Me!
I did not feel guilty when I was not there to catch my poor boy from falling out of his fathers truck, which would have kept him from taking a nose dive into the curb. I did not think about what I could have done to prevent it. I did not worry what kind of damage had been done or that I should have taken him to the ER right away. Of course I felt no mother's quilt, not me.
My husband did not make every meal for us this weekend. He does not also make dinner most nights even after working. I do not feel guilty about this, after all he enjoys it and is really good at it. Not Me!
My husband did not also buy me a dozen beautiful roses yesterday "just because". Who has the best guy ever? Not me!

Awww, your hubby is way to sweet. I can totally see how you were frustrated, it is not easy getting kids ready inthe morning!
