St. Patty's Day Parade

Today was the annual St. Patricks Day parade in our neighborhood. Well technically it was in the 'Hough' neighborhood. Just north of that is the 'Carter Park' neighborhood (where Jeremy's parents live) then ours, the 'Lincoln' neighborhood. These neighborhoods only encompass about 20+ blocks. This was the first parade the boys have ever seen, let alone walked in! I know! Kevin is almost 6 and never seen a parade! What kind of mother am I? :)

The stars aligned this year. The weather was PERFECT and Jordan was older, so I decided to go for it. The preschool always has a spot in the parade so we walked with them. Ashton's teacher was nice enough to tie-die shirts for the whole class (including one for Kevin & Jordan). Jordan was in awe for the longest time and then had a great time riding in the wagon with no complaints (I brought the Ergo baby carrier just in case). Kevin, having never seen a parade before was a little nervous when we got to our spot, right behind the middle school marching band and people everywhere. He wasn't sure what was going to happen. After we got started and realized that I was right there with them he did fine. He made sure to tell Ashton "Make sure wherever you are, you can see Mom." Ashton was great also. He's a social butterfly and loved that he was able to walk with Anya (his cute little girl friend from school) He tells me he "loves her." He is definitely a ladies man. I know: its cute now, just wait until he gets older :)

Not sure if you can tell, but of course I found a tiara for the occasion!

Ashton and Anya.

They held hands about 3/4 of the parade. The cutest!

Kevin marched behind the lovebirds playing his tambourine to the beat of the marching band.

Even Jordan played a little music. He had so much fun in the wagon.

Ashton and Anya, sitting in the tree. The girl that loves Luke at school hits him more than they hug or hold hands! HA! Your family looked so good and green!

looks fun. Titus has not been to a parade before either. Talea loves to ride in the wagon too. Maybe Jordan and Talea can have a ride together soon.
