A Famous Cake

You may remember this beautiful cake from Jordan's first birthday party:

The inspiration for this cake came from these awesome plates and napkins I found at Target. After buying these plates I came home and found (in tiny print) the name of the women who designed them, Laura Coyle.

I loved her design so much that I wanted to see if she had anything else out there. I love the Internet, you can find anything there! I Googled her and found that she has a blog, is an artist AND a recorded jazz singer! I decided to leave her a comment on her blog (all bloggers love comments and knowing who is reading their blog. hint. hint :) After getting my message she emailed me! She said I had made her day and that she would love to see a picture of the coordinating cake and that she would post it on her blog! So I sent her the pic's and today she posted them. If you would like to check it out click HERE.

Since Jordan has turned one he has been walking more and more. He is now walking about 99% of the time now! It is so cute watching him and his little legs walk around the house. I just love watching him do everything! He is so darn cute. I savor every moment he crawls now because its the last of his "babyhood" I feel like. Its kind of sad really. Im just so glad he is little because then it wont look like he is growing up as fast :). You really appreciate that after you have had more then one child.

Thursday Jordan and I start his first Gymboree Play & Learn class!! I am so excited, he is going to love it! I did Gymboree with Kevin and thought it was a great program. We even had Kevin's 2nd birthday there. Unfortunatley, his birthday party was the last class they ever had in Vancouver. So we will be heading over to Cedar Hills for our classes this time. Its more of a drive, but I think it will be well worth it. I tried a similar class at the Kids Club with Ashton when he was little, but it wasn't nearly as great as a Gymboree class. Thank you to both Mimi's & Papas, Auntie Heather and Aunti Chelle for donating to Jordan's Gymboree fund for his birthday!
